Third Annual North
Beach ArtWalk
September 25
- 26, 2010
Visual artists, poets, musicians,
performers: This is your
chance to show your work to local, Bay Area, and international visitors,
in your own North Beach studio or a local business.
A bigger and better ArtWalk for
2010 with:
- A printed and online map
that identifies all registered artists and merchants, including your
name, art form, venue, and website/contact info
- A website that lists all
participating artists and merchants
- An ArtWalk "passport"
that will reward visitors to many venues with special offers from participating
merchants
- A chance to present your
art or performance on Saturday evening
- Music in Jack Kerouac
Alley on Sunday
- A public space showing
work from all participating artists, open both days
- A preview party for all
participating artists and merchants on Friday night
- Bay Area and international
promotion
Ways to participate:
- Showcase your work in
a North Beach venue
- Register so you can be
listed on the ArtWalk map and website
- Plan a special event or
performance for Saturday evening
- Musicians: perform in
Kerouac Alley on Sunday
Choosing your venue:
- You can present your work
or event in your own studio or garage, a gallery, or on the sidewalk!
- If you'd like to have
your artform showcased in a neighborhood business, contact a merchant
directly, or see the continually updated list of participating businesses
(coming soon) and make arrangements with the merchant.
Saturday evening events
- If you're a musician,
poet, or other performer and would like to have a Saturday evening event,
check that the venue you're interested in is open at that time and
willing. Then let us know and we'll specify on the map.
